Girls need to:
• be listened to and be genuinely heard.
• be involved in family, community.
• be respected.
• experience managed risk.
• have the opportunity to succeed.
• know everyone makes mistakes, and that mistakes can be valuable too.
• learn how to deal with disappointment and failure.
• have a whole range of life experiences.
• learn how to get on with all different types of people.
• have friendships across the generations and with different friendship groups.
• have plenty of sleep.
• have a balance of activity and rest.
• have the chance to serve their family and community, to learn giving can be more fun than receiving.
