lights, camera, action!

The 2010 Princess Party is ... once again! ... going to be graced by the talents of NELLYPRO head photographer, Nelson Lai.

Nelson is an amazing fashion photographer (check his work at www.nellypro.com) and we are blessed to have him donate his time and product.

Princess Party is dedicated to raising the self esteem of young women at risk.  Part of how we do that is to give all attendees a WOWOWOW lifestyle experience ... all the girls (500 this year) get their hair done, makeup done, a hand massage ... and with the paparazzi buzzing about snapping the transformation and recording special times with friends ... needless to say, the girls love it!

It is amazing how simple things can bring hope to peoples lives too ... (sad story alert).  We received an email a few months past the last PP from a youth worker saying one of her girls had just overdosed and was in hospital.  She was emailing to tell us that after the youth workers offer to bring her anything to help her feel better she asked for ... "some of the photos from the Princess Party" - to help her feel better!  

I always love to hear stories like these ... (sad but with hope?) ... it makes me realise that the little things we can do for girls at risk can make a BIG difference in times of need. 

So thank you in advance to NELLYPRO for stepping up and being so generous ... it will help the girls day in 2010 be so much more special!
